The Texas State Government has yet to establish any official licensing for roofing contractors in Texas. In the absence of such licensing the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association (NTRCA) has been formed to protect homeowners from fraudulent and inexperienced roofing contractors. City Roofing Company has been a member of the NTRCA since 2000.

All members of the NTRCA are required to adhere to a strict set of guidelines. These guidelines include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct business as required by the Code of Ethics set by the NTRCA
  • Provide proof of a local address in North Texas
  • Provide proof that the Company is a registered business in the state of Texas
  • Good Standing (B or above) with the Better Business Bureau
  • Hold and Maintain General Liability Insurance

A Complete list of requirements can be found on the NTRCA website:

As part of the National Roofing Contractors Association’s mission to protect the individual homeowners of North Texas, the NTRCA provides a list of questions that every homeowner should ask a prospective contractor before that contractor should be allowed anywhere near their roof. City Roofing Company highly recommends every homeowner review this list of questions to avoid being taken advantage of by fraudulent contractors.
